An update on the performance of the Compound & Fire performance in June 2024.

Last month the Compound & Fire portfolio hardly changed. Compared to the end of May the portfolio increased by 0,16%.
In June I have made one change to the portfolio. I have sold NN Group and I have add ZIGEnX. NN Group I had bought in October 2023 and have it sold with a return of 51,9%. Because I have start communicating my portfolio as of May 1st I will not include this return in my overall performance. As mentioned in my prior update, the reason to sell NN Group linked to their announcement to invest in banking and NN Group doesn’t meet my portfolio strategy. It was a pure value play, because of a one-off event where market reaction was far too negative.
The deep dive on ZIGEnX will be shared this week.
The results of the portfolio for June:
Euronext and Coupang were the two stocks with the biggest declines. Euronext was top performer last month and there is no particular news for the decline this month.
Coupang has been fined $102M for alleged search algorithm manipulation, which had placed their private labels and products sold directly at the top of its search rankings according to the Korea Fair Trade Commission. Coupang is a long-term play and it doesn’t change my investments thesis.
Best performer in June was Kelly Partners Group, which was also the second best performer in May. Although stock price increased to AUD 8,25, my analysis shows the company is still very interesting for the long run: Kelly Partners Group: The Ultimate Compounding Machine
Rightmove gained 1.75% in June and keeps on buying back ~110.000 shares every day at an attractive discount. Here is the deep dive: Rightmove: High Quality Business With A Strong Moat
Dino Polska announced it will not pay a dividend over 2023 and will further develop their supermarket network. Good news for long-term shareholders.
The total return since May 1st of this year is shown in the table below.
Here is the updated share of the companies in the portfolio per end of June:
